the spectacle of spring
Spring in Japan is like a perfectly composed fireworks show. Entire mountains become peppered with amazing hues of new color and smells, and as soon as one color begins to fade out and go out of bloom, another species (and thus another color/personality) takes the stage. Since the beginning of April I have been in a state of amazement. Light greens, dark greens, pinks, peaches, purples–amazing!
Ume, Sakura, and Fujis are my favorites.
