Snow Monkeys
High in the cold snowy mountains of Nagano prefecture exists a large clan on monkeys with a deep love for onsen. When in the snow, it seems they spend most of there time looking for food, having sex, or getting in scuffles with one another–normal monkey drama. In the water of the hot springs, however, their tempers and concerns evaporate and it appears they transform into the monkey equivalent of zen masters.
A few branches off genetically, but their leisure looks pretty similar to that of my friends and I when the work day is over.
