Care of the Countryside
I’m not sure if other places in Japan are like this, but in areas far in the countryside where the number of students isn’t much greater (or is even less than) the faculty, certain days are arranged where teachers pay special visits to families in their own homes to discuss the performance of the children in school and what sort of expectations both the parents and the school hold for them.
